Business Leaders’ Forum (BLF), a joint initiative by the Centre for Advanced Financial Research and Learning (CAFRAL) and Reserve Bank Information Technology (ReBIT).
Keeping in line with the theme of business-driven cyber risk mitigation and management, the second edition looks to explore three key, topical areas:
a) Protecting banks from SWIFT Fraud
b) Vendor Risk Management
c) Data Privacy
With the recent spate of SWIFT-related incidents and frauds across the globe, with banks relying heavily on third parties to support their IT systems and infrastructure and with European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the data localization directive by RBI sparking off compliance exercises and, with the Indian Data Protection Bill getting drafted, these three topics are taking centre-stage in business deliberations across the globe. This forum convenes again at a time when business leaders and decision makers in the Indian banking industry are increasingly devoting their time and attention to these rather critical areas and are grappling with the associated challenges.
